This project is a way of coping with and expressing the grief over the end of my mother's life. It is an attempt to represent some of the pain of loss and the effort to try to heal this wound.
Based on reflections and interventions on love and death, inspired mainly by All About Love: New Perspectives, by Bell Hooks, and Wabi Sabi, by Beth Kempton, I seek to transform suffering into acceptance, growth and hope, after all, “beauty is not only evident in the joyous, the loud, or the obvious.” (Kempton, 2018).
All the beauty in this book, everything that I am and everything that I love, carries the essence of what my mother passed to me, inspired me and a little of what she represents to me… humbleness, love, creativity and imperfection.
